In Year 5 we have been investigating the effect of air resistance on falling objects by making parachutes of different sizes and timing how long it takes for the object to fall to the ground.

Refugee Week:
Year 5 have been learning about what a refugee is and have shared their ideas about how they can help refugees and asylum seekers.
Year 4 had a great time investigating how temperature affects materials. They used thermometers to explore melting and freezing.

Under the Sea art - Reception have been creating a lot of art this week using different tools and resources.
Year 2 children had a lovely treat this afternoon celebrating St John Fisher’s Feast Day and the end of their SATs papers! Thank you Mrs Hadfield for organising this.
Year 3 had a fabulous afternoon at the French Café for their charity day. They ordered their food in French and tasted baguette, croissant, pain au chocolat and madeleines.
Year 5 have had a great day at Liverpool World Museum!
Reception loved their trip to Blue Planet Aquarium. They enjoyed looking at all the different marine life and even got a chance to see divers in the water trying to catch a fish! They loved it. Excellent behaviour Reception Class.
Year 6 have been learning about light and how light rays travel in straight lines. We made periscopes to show light rays reflects off mirrors at the same angle.
Year 6 and Reception met up this afternoon. We listened to each other read and we played in the sunshine.

Year 4 marked Pentecost with creativity and reflection. They made brilliant flame headpieces and shared words in different languages, including Bulgarian, Italian and Spanish.

Year 6 have celebrated VE Day today in class today. We designed our own medals, wrote prayers and listened to music from the 1940's

Year 3 History Super Learning Day - VE Day Year 3 loved learning all about World War II today for the 80th anniversary of VE day. The children also participated in the two minute silence.
Year 4 took part in a powerful live assembly from St Peter’s Square in Rome, learning about the papacy and praying for our future pope. A truly memorable faith experience!

We met in our House Groups this morning to celebrate the life of Pope Francis. We looked at a letter he had written to say why we are all special and all chosen by Jesus.
Year 1 led a wonderful Mass celebration this morning as we prepare ourselves during Holy Week.
We couldn't do it last week, but as part of our Science week, Year 6 completed a lamb's heart dissection today. We cut open the hearts to find the atriums and the ventricles. We looked at the aorta and the veins too
Year 3 Retreat day with Mary Farmer. Themed around listening and sharing, the children learned more about the Eucharist and what happens in the Holy Mass.
